Check out this classic Conn 8H large bore trombone, a 1957 Elkhart professional model with red brass bell and nickel silver trim.
This horn has been tuned up but not restored, and although it's had it's share of dents removed over the decades (see photos), it's still a sweet playing horn, with all the character, responsiveness, and tonal colors that still make these horns so desirable today.
Slide was recently professionally de-stressed and aligned, so the action is very smooth, with minor chrome plating wear on the inner slide tubes. Dents were removed from the tuning crook, which has fresh lacquer; the rest of the horn is still all original lacquer finish.
No slide lock, which was common for this model and era.
Priced to sell at $995 cash. Pick up in Santa Fe, NM.
Thanks!
